Established in 2006, the winery at Garvin Heights Vineyards, LLC evokes the taste and beauty of the Upper Mississippi River Valley. Visit our scenic winery located above the city of Winona in the bluff lands of southeast Minnesota. We are open for wine tasting and sales daily from 10 am to 6 pm, except closed on Mondays. Our winery and vineyards are protected from the highway with a shelter belt of tree and bushes which afford an ideal spot of birds and wildlife. Take time when visiting the winery to enjoy our many birds including the Bluebirds which use a series of managed houses along Garvin Heights Road. In the winter these woods are available for cross-country skiing. Spend a long weekend in the Winona area to enjoy Garvin Heights Vineyards’ wine, attend the Great River Shakespeare Festival or the Minnesota Beethoven Festival and visit the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. Winona is a small friendly city with many surprises. While on Garvin Heights, visit the Scenic Lookout to view the entire city of Winona from one panoramic viewpoint. We are also only a few miles north of Rushford and the Root River with its extensive system of trails for walking, biking, and canoeing. The many small streams in the bluff lands of southeast Minnesota offer some of the best trout fishing in the upper Midwest. Winona is also hosts three colleges (WSU, SMU, SEMN Tech) and is the headquarters for several global companies. While in Winona, enjoy our many historic homes built during the height of the lumbering era. Enjoy horses, then the Minnesota Equestrian Center is for you. Check out their show schedule. It is just down the road from the winery. Also check out the Great River Road Wine Trail and the entire Great River Road that follows the Mississippi River from Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico. |
